The fun stops and the work begins..

just got back from Ipoh, after a great night enjoying what little time i have left before the final exams which starts on wednesday. Had a really great time watching Phobia 2, a thailand horror flick. i was skeptical at first, seeing as how i don't really enjoy thai movies that much, but damn, am i glad i watched it. It had everything, horror, suspense, sadness and surprisingly, funny as hell towards the end of the movie (the fifth story is definitely the best XD) . Afterwards, went to McD and then ended the nite at Shogun.

Sadly though, the fun stops here and work begins. Test is coming up, and i know shit about any of the subjects, specifically speaking, business statistics. But hey, i've managed to pull off good grades in the past with even worse preparations, so maybe i'll do just fine for this semester too.

Anyways, good luck to everyone in UTP for their upcoming exams!! Damn, i can't wait for the holidays...

Score woohoo!!

Glad I didn't stayed up all night yesterday trying to force all the incomprehensible bullshit that is oil and gas. I was facing my monitor at about 2.45 am after coming back from salam corner and was had all the intention of studying for the test. But after scrolling down a few pages, I thought to myself "screw this, i'm going to sleep". Turns out that was the right thing to do. Only read through the past year paper for a few minutes after waking up at 9.40 and i managed to score woohoo!! I'm pretty sure those who studied are friggin' pissed off at having to stay up late, and at the end of the day will get similar, if not worse results than us (those who only referred to the past year paper and enjoyed a good night sleep).

On a side note, while i was out at Salam yesterday, I was watching this vid showing some catfight around the US college soccer match between UNM and BYU. Well, I don't wanna spoil it so here's the URL:

Done, Done and Screw that Other Stuff!!

Yeah!! Finally, I'm done with the EDX montage!! Well..almost. Still gotta do the photo montage when EDX arrives this Wednesday. But apart from that I'm finished. Finally get to cross one work out of my hectic life. Syntech stuff are also done for this semester. Now all that's left is SIFE. Although I don't think I'm gonna be hanging around for long. I'm thinking of starting other independent projects. For the semester break I think I'm gonna spend my time messing around with 3ds max and photoshop a bit, and try to catch back on drawing again. I've been having this dream for the longest of time to make an animation vid. So, I can't wait for the holidays so I can touch on those stuff.

The last few days have been pretty great for me. Got to enjoy the holidays with some fucking high-speed internet access, yeah!! Although I don't know for how long this speed is gonna hold up, so I'm making the most out of it by downloading a whole lotta vids from youtube. Mainly tutorials on 3ds max, photoshop and drawing for my project stated earlier. I'm also anxiously waiting for the opportunity to get my hands on my very own DSLR. I'm thinking of buying a sony alpha series DSLR like how I talked with my bro about, but a friend of mine told me to get a Cannon or Nikon. DAmn, wish I knew more about this stuff. Sadly, I'm a noob in photography!!!!

But it seems interesting enough. These days, I can't just expect to get rid of boredom by just playing videogames anymore. So, I'm thinking of taking all sorts of stuff to fill my time, one of which is photography. Other stuff include:

-Travelling
-Writing game reviews
-Animation
-Playing the drum
-Playing the violin

Although most are still far-fetched, I know I'll be able to take them up sometime in the future. All in due time.....

Also, lately I've been hooked to listening to this band called Blonde Redheads, an underground rock band made up of Italian twins Simone and Amedeo Pace and Kazu Makino. I started listening to them after hearing their song "Elephant Woman" on this movie called Hard Candy, and i couldn't stop listening to them afterwards. Fun fact abou them: they're all in their 40's. Yep!! Forty and still going strong producing the music they like. Hope I can be just like them when I'm forty. That is if I can manage to live that old..

Kazu Makino == 40'ish but still pretty!!

Tests and Assignments but no Road Trip

Man, i don't think i can stress on how busy my life is right now what with all the club activities and studies. Just now I received an invitation to be an mc for this dinner. It was from a friend of mine and she's running out of people to fill in that position. So I ended up taking it anyways even though i originally didn't want to. I had just finished being an mc for the deepavali night that took place in my university about a couple weeks back. It wasn't particularly a memorable night cause I screwed up the script a lot and there were technical difficulties o the mic. One guy ended up shouting "wei tukar mc laa!!" according to one of my friends who happened to attend that night. So, I was thinking of not doing this ever again. At least not in the immediate future. But here I am stuck in the same place again. But hopefully this time its not gonna be as nerve-wrecking as last time. Its only gonna be about 200 people so I'll probably manage.

Just a few hours ago I kept this cat locked in my room. I was thinking of taking some pictures with it. But after coming back I saw that the cat was gone. Or maybe its still hiding in the room somewhere, waiting for an opportunity to strike me in my sleep with a knife in its mouth. Cute but deadly...

Man, i wish i can write some more interesting stuff but i havent had a particularly interesting week. Although i did have a tanglung night with some friends yesterday, probably gonna post that up sometime. See, this is the problem with me, a lot of cool stuff happens, but i just cant seem to summon up the strength to turn on my pc, log in to the internet, and post these stuff on the blog. Probably cause the pictures that were taken are on my friend's dslr. So i'm thinking of buying my own. Either that or an intel i5. just wish i had more money so i could buy both..

Wasting Time Because I'm Bored

Just got back from McD. Ate Big Mac and Double cheeseburger. Damn, I'm so bored. I really want to get out of UTP. I hate it here. Feels like I'm missing out on life. I mean, my friends, not all of them but a lot, especially close ones are all studying in KL. I'm thankful that I have the privilege to study at this fine institute of higher learning, but I just wish it was in KL. A friend of mine just got back from KL, after going to this open house at some house of a Dato' . Dato' Sparta or something. But with all the pictures he took of the cars that were there, I wondered if it was a Hari Raya open house or a road show. Mercedes, Bentley, BMW, Jaguar so on and so forth. Personally, I'd be happy even with just a MyVi. Or just anything for that matter, I just want a car so i can get the fuck out of here!!

I was also thinking that after I get my car, I'm gonna buy me a hamster. Or a guinea pig, either one. I've always wanted a pet, but my mum wouldn't let me, cause she doesn't want shit everywhere. I seriously want a cat, but don't think its safe to let it wander around on UTP grounds. So maybe a hamster will do. Or maybe a rabbit. And when it dies, I can make rabbit stew or something. Although maybe not. I've heard that in dreams, what happens there are sometimes clairvoyant visions of whats going to happen in life in the future or what has happened in the past. And recently, I've had bad dreams about rabbits. Maybe they will be my unmaking.

very...disturbing

Another thing that i wanna do after i get my car is travel all over Malaysia. I really want to have the opportunity to travel the world. But the world is too big, and I don't have the money...yet. So for now Malaysia will do. I wanna go to Pulau Tioman cause from the pictures that i've seen of that place, it looks beautiful. So blue like the sea is made up of smurf blood or something. Also wanna go to Tasik Kenyir. I've been there about three times already but haven't gone there in a while. And I'm also gonna have to make a new passport. I'm probably gonna go to Thailand when I get my car.

But then, its not enough to just go on around Malaysia. So, I'm hoping that someday I'll be able to go around the whole world to visit places like Japan, Paris, Rome, Venice, New York, L.A, Shanghai, Dubai and so on. Prolem is the money. How the hell am I gonna come up with that amount of money. There's gotta be a way...

Cramped No More!!

Finally, the past two weeks has been so packed with shit I didn't get any chance to breath. Finally, the worst has almost come to an end. Almost....

Just now, i had a nightmare that a huge bunny rabbit nibbled my dick. it was a really fucked up nightmare. Anyways, I just had the chance of watching Drag Me To Hell. Its been released ages ago but i didn't have anything better to do, so i just picked it up on dc, and I have to say, it was really good. Sam Raimi always did have a magic touch on humor and horror mixed into one package, like from the evil dead series. Also watched The Perfect Sleep the other day. Brilliant movie. Can't remember the director, but he sure knows how to play with lights and shadows. I'm not particularly a fan of noir films. The only one besides this movie being Sin City, I really saw nothing much in noir, but maybe i'll change my prespective after this. Though rottentomatoes gave it a low score, I really enjoyed it. And I finally got to watch this one movie that I've waited a few years to see because I was too lazy to find it. Pan's Labyrinth. Loved it!! Think i'm gonna be holding on to this movie for a while before I delete it from my harddisk.

I can't wait for the semester break to start. So many things that i want to do. Here's a list:

-Watch Oprah.
-Play Valkyria Chronicles again.
-Buy an Intel Quad Core Processor.
-Study 3DSMax.
-Go on a whole lotta outings with school friends.
-Buy some books.
-Watch a whole lot of movies that i took from dc.
-Finish some games that I've put on hold.
-Buy a DSLR (probably)

Though, I don't think i'll be able to enjoy movies anytime soon after this week. Its still gonna be a really packed week until the exams with assignments and studies, what with there not being a study week and all. Fucking pigs, fucking h1n1 and fucking MMPUTP. Well, since there's nothing that can be done i guess I gotta stop bitching and start studying.

Anyways, its only a few weeks away from the final exams, and I think that I just might be able to make it and score a 3.5. i really wanna get that chance and at least once in my life try to make my parents proud. Somehow, I feel like their time is almost running out. Their already in their 50's, which isn't really that old, but I've been having nightmares lately about how my relatives pass away. I haven't felt the lost of a really dear person to me yet, so i don't really know if I'll be ready when the time comes...

Oh, on a side note, don't go mixing red bull, livita and black fury together and drinking it. Trust me. Tried it twice, regretted it both times. Now, excuse me while I go puke.

Sorry Start

This isn't really the first time I've written a blog, so I'll just skip the part where I'm supposed to say something like "Hey, my name is Zainul, and I'm writing this blog so as to see how far I've come in the distant future and how much I've grown". Problem is I'm not doing this for that purpose. I don't even think I'll live past 40. But, since everyone else is doing it, I figured why not me. Man, I really don't know what the fuck to say right now.

Well, let me start by talking about this story I just read a couple weeks past. It was about this kid named Daniel Petric whom some of you may have heard of by now, some of you may not, I don't know, don't care. Anyways, this guy, had actually, literally, shot his mother dead and tried to frame his own father for the crime before leaving the scene with only one thing in possession, which was the very thing that started the whole mess. No, it wasn't money, or porn. It was Halo 3. Yup, HALO 3. I mean, its not enough with the fact that this whole incident was so insane, I mean how could anyone kill their parents, and over a videogame? Game violence influence? I played the original Mortal Kombat on the Sega Genesis when I was five. Didn't do me any wrong. He even had framed his father of the whole shit, but not before shooting his ass too. But the saddest thing, was that it was Halo 3. Now, fanboys out there, before you go blasting me, hear what I have to say. First off, I'm not a fanboy, I'm just an honest critic who happens to have both the Xbox360 and the Playstation 3. In other words, I'm an unbiased lucky bastard. Now, Halo and Halo 2 was good. I haven't gotten round to playing Halo 3 ODST, but I bet that kicks ass too. But Halo 3 is way, wayyyyy overrated. Seriously guys, open your eyes. Maybe you wanna use it as being the vanguard of the xbox360, but there's no need for that. The xbox360 does kick ass. But there are better games out there. So if I were to kill my parents-hypothetically speaking of course, I'd probably do it over Gears of War, LittleBigPlanet, GTA IV, so on and so forth. Point is,if you wanna do something so fucking stupid, make it count.

Though I have to wonder if he still gets to play that Halo 3
he so cherished.
